Upcoming ‘Hit and Run’ screening in Knoxville

Dax and Kristen will be doing a Hit and Run screening in Knoxville on June 7:

Actors Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell will screen their film “Hit and Run” Thursday, June 7, at the Regal Riviera Stadium 8.

Tickets will only be available through giveaways. To try to win tickets through Knoxnews.com, go to www.facebook.com/knoxnews and click on the contests tab to enter.

“Basically,” says Ken Foreman, vice president of film marketing at Regal Entertainment Group, “if somebody doesn’t have a ticket they won’t be able to get in.

“Dax and Kristen will do an intro at the start of the film,” says Foreman. “Additionally, they will be there, on hand, to do a (question and answer session) with the crowd.”

The audience will not be guaranteed to meet the stars one-on-one.

Shepard and Bell are best known for their TV roles. Shepard plays Crosby Braverman on NBC’s comedy-drama “Parenthood,” and Bell can be seen as “House of Lies,” a racy comedy with Don Cheadle on Showtime.

Foreman says the screening was possible because of Regal’s strong relationship with the movie company. “The film is coming (to theaters) in August, and (the movie company) wanted to get early audience reaction to it,” he says.

“Hit and Run” is the story of a man in the Witness Protection Program whose identity is blown and is now in pursuit. Bell plays Shepard’s girlfriend.

Bradley Cooper and Kristin Chenoweth, who will not be at the screening, co-star in “Hit and Run.”

Shepard and Bell will be attending Bonnaroo while they’re in Tennessee. (Knoxville.com is giving away Bonnaroo tickets.)
